Advantages and Disadvantages to Online Shopping
There are people who prefer to do their shopping online and then there are those that do not. So when it comes to online shopping vs. traditional shopping, both sides have their advantages and disadvantages. Let’s say you are shopping for fine china or silverware, it will be very difficult to purchase exactly what you want because simply pictures will not be able to give you an idea of how it looks and feels. This is where offline shopping or traditional shopping has an edge over online shopping.
Security is another concern when it comes to online shopping vs. traditional shopping. With online shopping there is no way of you knowing that someone is stealing your data. You don’t even know if you will actually get the things you purchase. This makes online shopping a bit more unsecure when compared to traditional shopping.
Another disadvantage to online shopping vs. traditional shopping is that there are many online stores that will ship within a certain area for free but many times if you are located outside of the city or area you will need to pay hefty shipping prices, unlike traditional shopping where you enter in a store purchase what you like, get your credit card charged and leave.
Finding things online is pretty easy. You just open up a search engine like Google and type in what you are looking for. This is probably the biggest advantage of online shipping vs. traditional shopping. With traditional shopping you will need to search from one shop in the mall to the other looking for what you want, sometimes driving all over town to several different stores. There might also be times when you won’t find what you are looking for. With online shopping you will instantly know if you can find what you are looking for, or if you can’t, potentially saving you hours looking for what you want.
Quality is the biggest issue when it comes to online shopping vs. traditional shopping. There is no way you will know if what you are purchasing is of the quality you want. There are many online shops that sell cake but you have no way to really know if the cake is tasty. With traditional shopping you get to smell and in some cases even taste the cake. This way you know exactly what you are purchasing and how good it is.

Shopping in a mall can take up to two hours or even longer if coffee stops and lunches are included. The downside of this is that the store does not always have exactly what they want or the correct size and color is not available. Online vs Traditional Shopping
...05 - Comparison-Contrast Essay November 30, 2014 The Differences between Traditional and Online Shopping The differences between traditional shopping and online shopping are numerous and varied. Each has its' own advantages; each has its' disadvantages. A few points to consider are: comparison shopping, inspecting an item, returns, shipping, item availability, and convenience. Online shopping offers the ability to compare prices quickly and easily. By simply checking competing websites, you can find the best price in a matter of minutes. With traditional shopping, you would have to drive to different locations to check the prices. Then you would have to return to the store with the better price. Traditional shopping does offer the chance to inspect an item before purchasing it; clothing, for example. You could try the item on in the store to see if it fits correctly. In contrast, when shopping online you have to guess at the correct size, and wait for the item to be delivered to try it. Perhaps you do purchase an incorrect size, or the item has been damaged. With traditional shopping, you only have to drive back to the store where you bought the item, and return it for an instant refund. If you bought it online, however, you have to ship it back to the retailer, and then wait for the refund. You may also have to pay the return postage costs. If you choose traditional shopping, you are able to take your purchases home immediately; but you may have to......

Online Shopping vs. Traditional Shopping
...Online Shopping vs. Traditional Shopping It seems more and more people are shopping solely online, the accessibility and convenience is just too hard to deny. More and more formerly bustling malls are becoming deserted ghost towns. There are advantages and disadvantages to both types of shopping, it really depends on which aspects are more important to you and what works best for your lifestyle. I personally prefer shopping online for its convenience and the wider ability to price compare. There are still many things about traditional shopping that are appealing, however, such as being able to try items of clothing on and to see the item before purchasing. Shopping online can be very convenient, there’s no need to get in your car, drive to a store or the mall, park and walk around looking for what you need. Some people enjoy the act of shopping, and for them it can be more about the social aspect of it than what can be the tedious act of searching for something they need. You are able to do a wider variety of price comparisons by shopping online, with a few clicks of your computer mouse you can not only find what you’re looking for, you can compare prices from hundreds of stores around the globe. In traditional shopping you would have to search different stores to be able to do the price comparing you can do online. One of the downfalls of online shopping is the inability to possess the item or product immediately. If you need something to use or wear......

Online vs. Traditional Shopping
... This is just one example of how online shopping is better than traditional in store shopping. Online shopping offers more convenience, comparability, and cost effectiveness than traditional shopping. Shopping online is more convenient and relaxing than shopping in a store. Because when going to a physical store to go shopping a whole day must be planned out of it. First one must get ready because most people do not like to go out in public looking shabby and un-kept like they just got out of bed. Then one must decide which stores to go to in order to get everything on their shopping list. Next you have to get in the car and drive to the store and spend at least an hour searching for things on the shelves, and in the aisles, standing in line to pay for them, and getting everything out to the car and loaded up. Not to mention all of this must be accomplished with crowds of people and traffic slowing you down. Then it is on to the next place on the list to repeat the cycle over again. If one were shopping online all of his or her shopping could be done before the in-store shopper even gets out of the driveway. Because when shopping online all one needs to do is wake up, and turn on the computer. In doing so a whole world of shopping possibilities are at the shoppers fingertips, there are literally thousands of stores online to choose from. All one has to do is type what they are looking for into an online search engine, or any popular online store. Then when you have found......
